Rehabilitation Technology Assessment

A successful closure of vocational rehabilitation requires a good rehabilitation technology assessment. The rehab tech assessment is typically conducted at the consumers’ job sites or home site. An experienced rehabilitation engineer will carefully review consumer’s physical needs, vocational goals, job requirements and the job settings and explore relevant assistive technology applications and devices that can help the consumers perform their job duties independently, comfortably and efficiently. The assessment will provide the rehabilitation counselors with recommendations of specific assistive technology applications and devices, the cost, the vending sources, the support and training plan for the consumers to use these AT devices.
